The Evolution of Miami Music Week: How Mana Wynwood Became a Premier Destination
From its Downtown origins to its rapid expansion in Wynwood, Mana Wynwood has become a key Miami Music Week venue, doubling its event footprint from 2023 to 2024.
Every March, Miami Music Week (MMW) turns the city into the capital of electronic music, drawing top DJs, industry leaders, and fans from across the globe. What started as a collection of underground parties and club takeovers in downtown Miami has evolved into a week-long celebration with events spanning the city.
At the core of this evolution is Ultra Music Festival, the flagship event at Bayfront Park that has shaped MMW’s legacy. Ultra has delivered some of electronic music’s most viral cultural moments, including Avicii’s iconic 2013 set, where he debuted tracks like Wake Me Up and Hey Brother—a risk that would ultimately redefine the genre.
In 2024, Kaskade and Alison Wonderland took over Mana Wynwood's Black Room.
As Miami Music Week expanded, so did its reach. While downtown Miami remains the epicenter of MMW, Wynwood has become a key destination for large-scale productions. Known for its industrial aesthetic and creative energy, the district now hosts some of the week’s most innovative events, many of them led by Mana Wynwood.
With its expansive, warehouse-style design, Mana Wynwood Convention Center is built for high-energy raves and next-level experiences. In 2023, the property hosted just three MMW events, but in 2024, the addition of Mana Wynwood 320, an intimate private venue, more than doubled that number. Hosting a total of eight events, Mana Wynwood’s footprint expanded significantly in Miami Music Week’s evolution.
Now a top hub for leading music events, Mana Wynwood continues to redefine the live music and art experience, blending music in creative ways. With Miami Music Week returning to Mana Wynwood alongside BLNK CNVS, world-class performances are set to continue—stay tuned for the 2025 lineup and more at manawynwood.com.
